The magazine also carries a pull out supplement for coaches and physical education teachers called Education Sports Parade, which features government’s “sport in schools” drive as well as the latest products and services. Throughout the year, we also publish various loose insert supplements in the magazine such as E-Learning & ICT Buyer’s Guide, Safety & Security Buyer’s Guide and the Study & Training Options Buyer’s Guide. The magazine consists of the following sections: 1. Philosophies, Policies and Plans: Covers general education and policy matters, Government announcements, SAQA, conferences and forums. We also discuss various initiatives from the Department of Basic Education, as well as corporate social investment (CSI) projects. 2. Special Focus: We discuss issues on the month’s breaking news, new ideas, unique products or services, and events. This section is also dedicated to highlighting the achievements and contributions of committed people and leaders in the education industry. 3. Featured Education Provider: We feature a school, college or university in South Africa. This section is for education providers to promote and feature their campus or school. 4. Tertiary Focus: Covers information specific to Further Education and Training (FET) colleges and Higher Education (HE) providers. The information is relevant to private and public tertiary institutions, the Department of Higher Education and Training, as well as teachers and lecturers. We discuss issues on skills development and industry training. This section also carries a monthly Tertiary Study Option feature to assist Life Orientation /Career Guidance teachers with information for Grade 12 learners regarding study and career choices. 5. E-Learning & ICT: 6. Safety and Security: The information is aimed at the educational security manager. We highlight products and services; offer hints and suggestions on education safety from industry experts, and cover physical and electronic security solutions. 7. Facilities: We cover all facilities parking, residences, laboratories, studios, swimming pools, sports areas and buildings. There is also a focus on grounds maintenance, turf cover and paving.
