Historically, the Southern African Shopping Centre Directory has been the only reference source of retailers and retailing facilities, in the order of 1 270 shopping centres/malls accommodating some 52 400 shops in South Africa. The directory, backed by the South African Council of Shopping Centres, affiliated to the international Council of Shopping Centres will contain updated information and statistics on all existing and new shopping centre developments in southern Africa.
